On January 30, 2026, Elsevier officially released the 2025 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list. A total of 10 faculty members from Southeast University's School of Civil Engineering were selected—one more than in 2024. The list (listed in alphabetical order by pinyin surname) is as follows:

Since 2015, Elsevier has released the list 12 times. Based on data from Scopus, a globally recognized citation and abstract database, the list is widely regarded as an authoritative reference for identifying leading scholars across disciplines. It highlights researchers’ influence and contributions in key technologies and priority research areas, and has attracted broad attention from both academia and the media.
It is reported that the 2025 list includes 6,310 scholars from 543 universities, enterprises, and research institutions, covering 10 disciplinary fields and 83 first-level disciplines under China’s Ministry of Education framework. Southeast University had 92 scholars selected in total (including 12 in Civil Engineering), with 10 from the School of Civil Engineering.
